Summary: The aim of this paper is to study the diagonal embeddings of function spaces with dominating mixed smoothness. From a certain point of view, this paper may be considered as a direct continuation of the works of H. Triebel [Banach Cent. Publ. 22, 475–486 (1989; Zbl 0707.46020)] and M. C. Rodríguez Fernández [Ph. D. thesis, Univ. Jena (1997; Zbl 0942.46021)].
