Parisi, Luca Dynamical systems techniques in cosmology. An example: LQC and the Einstein static universe. (English) Zbl 1187.83082 J. Geom. Symmetry Phys. 14, 67-83 (2009). The author has studied stability properties of the Einstein static universe in general relativity for the case of a positive cosmological constant. It is shown that loop quantum cosmology (LQC) leads to a new high energy critical point for the Einstein static model. Thus, it points out that high energy modification to general relativity modifies the big bang singularity and also the dynamical nature of the non-singular Einstein static universe.
