Summary: We prove a common fixed point theorem for a sequence of mappings in cone metric spaces. This result offers a generalization of Huang and Zhang’s theorem in [L. D. Huang and X. Zhang, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 332, No. 2, 1468–1476 (2007; Zbl 1118.54022)]. An example to support our result is presented.
