Sound Vib. 187, No. 4, 683-693 (1995). Summary: A computational method for design sensitivity analysis of the non-linear forced vibrations response of beams is presented. The large deflection leads to geometric non-linearity. Longitudinal displacement and inertia are considered in the non-linear vibration formulation. As an application of this method, two numerical examples are given. The results show that the method proves to be effective.
