High order finite difference method for numerical solution of general two-point boundary value problems involving sixth order differential equation. (English) Zbl 1250.65102

Summary: The finite difference method is applied to solve a general sixth order boundary value problem. Computational results are presented to demonstrate the order accuracy of the method. Also second and fourth derivatives of solution are obtained as by-product of the method.
