Summary: We prove common fixed point theorems for occasionally weakly compatible maps in fuzzy metric spaces. An example is also given which demonstrates the validity of our main result. Our results improve and extend the result of S. Sedghi, N. Shobe and A. Aliouche [A common fixed point theorem for weakly compatible mappings in fuzzy metric space. Gen. Math. 18(3), 3–12 (2010)].
