Common fixed point theorems for occasionally weakly compatible mappings in Menger probabilistic quasi-metric spaces. (English) Zbl 1270.54049

The main result of this paper is a common fixed point theorem for three maps on a Menger probabilistic quasi-metric space \(X\) satisfying a contraction type condition, wherein the maps are pairwise occasionally weakly commuting. The authors also obtain a common fixed point theorem for a finite class of maps on \(X\). Some special cases are discussed.
