Complex representation theory of the electromagnetic field. (English) Zbl 1295.78004

The author describes properties of electromagnetic field and its coupling to electric current in terms of three-dimensional irreducible representations of the restricted Lorenz group. The paper deals with the details of the Lorentz group representation theory in low dimensions relevant for relativistic field theory.
