On the pre-metric formulation and nonlinearization of charge-free electrodynamics. (English) Zbl 1348.78005

The authors elaborate mathematical procedures of multilinear algebra and differential geometry to enlighten details of the pre-metric formulation of charge free electrodynamics applying both the classical and relativistic approach. They treated and analyzed electromagnetic field objects in static and time dependent nonlinear cases, and in space-time representation.
