A moment problem on rational numbers. (English) Zbl 1378.43003
Various positive definite functions defined on an interval in \(\mathbb R\) have been characterized by their Fourier transform or Laplace transform. The paper under review gives a similar characterization of positive definite functions defined on the intersection of an interval with a semiadditive subgroup of the rationals.
