Authors’ abstract: We carry out “exotic gluings” à la Carlotto-Schoen for asymptotically hyperbolic general relativistic initial data sets. In particular, we obtain a direct construction of non-trivial initial data sets which are exactly hyperbolic in large regions extending to conformal infinity.
