Commemorazione di Giuseppe Vitali. (Italian) JFM 58.0049.10
Nachruf auf {\it Vitali} (geb. 1875 zu Ravenna). Er begann 1895 in Bologna zu studieren, setzte die Studien in Pisa bei {\it Dini} und {\it Bianchi} fort, wo er 1899 promovierte und sich 1900 habilitierte. Von 1904 bis 1922 wirkte er in Genua, und zwar erst am Liceo “Colombo”, dann (1911) an der R. Scuola Navale Superiore. 1923 kam er nach Modena. 1924 nach Padua, schließ lich 1930 nach Bologna, wo er 1932 starb. - Der Nachruf gibt daneben eine kurze Skizzierung der Arbeitsgebiete {\it Vitali}s (u. a. {\it Lebesgue}sche Maß theorie, “Überdeckungssätze”, Reihenlehre, Theorie des {\it Hilbert}schen Raumes, absoluter Differentialkalkül).
