On certain integral functions of order 1 and mean 1 type. (English) JFM 61.0340.01

1. Sei \(f(z)\) eine ganze Funktion vom Exponentialtypus.
a) Ist \[ \int\limits_1^\infty \{\log^+|f(x)|+log^+|f(-x)|\}\frac{dx}{x^2}<\infty, \tag{1} \] so hat \(\dfrac{n(r)}r\) für \(r\to\infty\) einen Grenzwert \(A\) (Paley, Wiener; Fourier transformations in the complex domain (1934; F. d. M. 60\(_{\text{I}}\), 345), p. 69).
b) Ist überdies \[ h(\theta)=\limsup\limits_{r\to\infty}\dfrac{\log|f(re^{i\theta})|}r= \operatorname{Max}(a\cos\theta,b\sin\theta)\qquad (a<b), \tag{2} \] so ist \(A=\dfrac{b-a}\pi\) (Cartwright, Proc. London Math. Soc. (2) 38 (1934), 158-179; F. d. M. 60\(_{\text{I}}\), 262).
Verf. zeigt, daß (2) aus (1) folgt; der Grenzwert \(A\) in Satz a) ist also gleich \(\dfrac{b-a}\pi\).
1 (1934), 193-206; F. d. M. 60\(_{\text{I}}\), 264).
