Absolutely flat monoids are amalgamation bases. (English) Zbl 0724.20043

This paper summarizes a corresponding complete article which, according to the author, has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Pure and Applied Algebra in 1983, but is not yet published. The main result is that monoids S and T containing a submonoid U over which all acts (U- sets) are flat can be embedded in a common overmonoid.
