Preface special volume on the Conference on graph theory, matrix theory and interactions. (English) Zbl 1321.00121 Electron. J. Linear Algebra 28, 1-3 (2015). From the text: The Conference on Graph Theory, Matrix Theory and Interactions was held at the Department of Mathematics of the Queen’s University, Canada, on June 20–21, 2014. The conference was a celebration of the scholarship of the late David A. Gregory, a long-serving professor in the Department of Mathematics at Queen’s University. The conference topics reflect the David’s mathematical interests and contributions. David Gregory explored mathematical problems that bridged two areas of mathematics: linear algebra and discrete mathematics, especially graph theory. His insights, careful approach and writing influenced many mathematicians, especially in combinatorial matrix theory. The conference included presentations by both researchers who have collaborated with David (of which there are many), as well as other researchers who have been influenced by his work.
