The author studies the values of the Padé approximants and the corresponding error function for interesting particular cases of Heine’s function \(_2\Phi_1 (\alpha, q;r;z)\). It is also shown that this \(_2\Phi_1\) function is related to an incomplete \(q\)-beta function.
