The author proves asymptotic completeness for the three-body Schrödinger operator with a short range potential. Even though this result has been known through the work of I. M. Sigal and A. Soffer [e.g.: Lect. Notes Math. 1285, 435-472 (1987; Zbl 0651.35071) and V. Enß [e.g.: Journ. “Equations Deriv. Partielles”, St. Jean- De-Monts 1989, 1-31 (1989; Zbl 0734.35069)], the author adds some variants to the basic outline of Sigal-Soffer which make the argument somewhat more transparent in this case.
