Mathematical model for the calculation step-like inhomogeneity in a plane wave guider. (Russian) Zbl 0930.35040

The article concerns the numerical approach of discrete singularities for the calculation of wave diffraction in a plane wave guider with step-like inhomogeneity. By this method the problem is reduced to a system of paired adder integral equations. The objective of the present investigation is the wave dispersion on the interface of two ideal rectangular wave guides of different cross-sections. The initial problem is formulated as the Helmholtz equation with uniform boundary conditions on wave guider walls and Mikesnere conditions on the edge. The solution is searched as running waves. The conjugation is realized based on integral equations. Tables of dependencies of the model coefficients from the wave number are given.
