Solution of Navier-Stokes equations in the case of evaporation. (English) Zbl 0734.76017

Summary: The steady, one-dimensional and nonlinear Navier-Stokes description of the process of evaporation is studied. For Mach numbers at infinity which are less than unity, a solution is found that implies a monotonous expanding flow from the interphase surface to downstream equilibrium.
