The stagnation point MHD flow and heat transfer of micropolar fluid over a stretching sheet in the presence of radiation, heat generation and dissipations. (English) Zbl 1359.76335 Int. J. Adv. Appl. Math. Mech. 3, No. 2, 84-99 (2015). Summary: In this paper, The problem of steady two-dimensional boundary layer MHD stagnation point flow and heat transfer of an incompressible micropolar fluid over a stretching sheet with the presence of radiation, heat generation and dissipations has been investigated. The governing partial differential equations are transformed to ordinary ones using similarity transformation. The resulting nonlinear ordinary differential equations are solved numerically using the finite difference method. The results obtained for velocity, temperature and skin friction are tabulated and shown graphically. Comparing the present results for skin friction with the recent results, it is observed that the results are in excellent agreements.
