Comparison and analysis on functional representations of Riesz and Fréchet. (Chinese. English summary) Zbl 1363.46001

Summary: The representation of continuous linear functionals is one of the important branches in functional analysis. Both Fréchet and Riesz did important work on the representation of continuous linear functionals. By a literature review and historic analysis, we compare and analyze the essential differences from objection, method and influence in their work, and outline the internal reason lying in their differences, which furnishes some historic background for the teaching of functional analysis.
