Robustness of model-reference adaptive control systems with unmodelled dynamics. (English) Zbl 0535.93019

The robustness of model reference adaptive control (MRAC) systems is analyzed under the hypothesis of a model mismatch. The conclusion is that such MRAC systems are stable in a domain of attraction and this is supported by simulation studied. The authors comment on the robustness conclusions obtained by C. E. Rohr, V. Valavarri, M. Athaus, and G. Stein [Proc. IEEE Conf. on Decision Control, 3-11 (1984)].
