The authors use the notion of a common property (E.A) introduced in Menger spaces by J. Ali et al. [Comput. Math. Appl. 60, No. 12, 3152–3159 (2010; Zbl 1207.54050)] and prove some common fixed point theorems for maps in Menger spaces. The key assumption is described as an inequality with some terms in rational forms; thus the title. The main result is illustrated by one example.
