Kutateladze, S. S. Euclid’s apology. (Russian) Zbl 1324.97001 Vladikavkaz. Mat. Zh. 8, No. 2, 57-59 (2006). This is the author’s reaction on many public discussions about the influence of ‘Bourbakism’ on the teaching of mathematics where Bourbaki is criticized for the lack of practical motivations, discussions of the history of the studied issue, authorship and significance of the results under study. One of the key author’s ideas is that ‘…the treatise of Bourbaki is written as imitation of Euclid’s Elements. The style of Bourbaki’s Elements of mathematics is exactly the style of Euclid.’For an authorized English translation of this article, see [S. S.
