Symmetry in geometry: A personal view. (English) Zbl 0883.51001

“This article is not a general survey of symmetry in geometry, but merely an account of some of the ways in which symmetry has played a part in my own work.”
Among others, examples are given to reflections, rotational symmetry, inverse symmetry, Pappus and Clifford configuration, tessellations (in hyperbolic plane, coloring), M. C. Escher’s work and more.
