Dong, Bizhen; Ye, Jiasheng; Liu, Juan; Gu, Benyuan; Yang, Guozhen; Lu, Maohong; Liu, Shutian Analysis of the focal characteristics of cylindrical lenses made of anisotropically dielectric material based on rigorous electromagnetic theory. (English) Zbl 1055.78006 J. Mod. Opt. 50, No. 8, 1195-1208 (2003). The authors study the focal characteristics of refractive cylindrical lenses made of anisotropic material, using rigorous electromagnetic theory and boundary element methods. Numerical results for TE and TM polarization are presented, and a comparison of the focal performance between the cases of isotropic and anisotropic dielectric lenses is made. A derivation of the boundary integral equations for anisotropic material is given in the appendix.
