Man sagt, eine unendliche Reihe \(\sum_0^\infty a_n\) mit reellen Gliedern umhüllt die reelle Zahl \(A\), wenn für \(n = 0, 1, 2, \ldots\) gilt \(A - (a_0 + \ldots + a_n) = \theta_n a_{n+1}\), wo \(0 < \theta_n < 1\). Verf. untersucht umhüllende Reihen für die Hurwitzsche Zetafunktion. Insbesondere bekommt er für die Riemannsche Zetafunktion bei reellem \(s > -1\), daß \(\zeta(s) - \frac{1}{s-1}-\frac12\) von der Reihe \[ \sum_1^\infty \frac{(-1)^k B_k s(s + 1) )\cdots (s + 2k - 2)}{(2k)!}\] \((B_k\) Bernoullische Zahlen) umhüllt wird.
