The Newton-Fourier imaginary problem. (English) JFM 11.0260.02

Das vorgelegte Problem verlangt eine Zerlegung der complexen Ebene, in der die Wurzeln einer Gleichung \(f(u)=0\) als Punkte \(A,\; B,\; C\ldots \), zugleich mit den Werthen \[ \xi_1=\xi -\frac {f(\xi )}{f'(\xi)} ,\quad \xi_2=\xi_1-\frac {f(\xi_1)}{f'(\xi_1)} \quad \text{etc.} \] als Punkte \(P,\; P_1,\; P_2 \ldots\) dargestellt werden, so dass bei willkürlicher Annahme eines \(P\) innerhalb eines Bereiches man schliesslich zum Punkte \(A\) gelangt, und ebenso für die übrigen.
