Lewiński, Tomasz Conformal scaling-based approach to evaluation of effective properties of thermoelastic non-homogeneous media. (English) Zbl 0928.74078 Bull. Pol. Acad. Sci., Tech. Sci. 45, No. 4, 487-494 (1997). Summary: Effective thermoelastic properties of periodic composites are derived by applying the two-scale asymptotic homgenization method. The derivation is based on a new scaling which preserves similarity between all length scales involved in the problem of coupled thermoelasticity. The homogenized model turns out to be decoupled: the main term of the displacement representation satisfies the linear elasticity equations with given initial (constant in time) thermal strains.
