Barbosa, H. J. C.; Raupp, F. M. P.; Borges, C. C. H. Numerical experiments with algorithms for bound constrained quadratic programming in mechanics. (English) Zbl 0919.73300 Comput. Struct. 64, No. 1-4, 579-594 (1997). Summary: Computational performance of some algorithms for solving bound constrained quadratic programming problems is compared by means of numerical experiments. The model problems used to test the behaviour of the algorithms are the obstacle problem for a membrane and the contact problem in infinitesimal elasticity. Both problems involve different load conditions and parameters. The finite element method is used for the spatial discretization.
