Subsonic aircraft’s unsteady longitudinal stability derivatives calculation. (English) Zbl 1002.76055

Brčić, Vlatko (ed.) et al., Proceedings of the 22rd Yugoslav congress of theoretical and applied mechanics, YUCTAM ’97, Yrnjačka Banja, Yugoslavia, June 2-7, 1997. Round table: O.M. History of mechanics in Yugoslavia. Belgrade: University of Belgrade, Mathematical Institute SANU, 45-56 (1997).
The author develops a computational procedure based on well-known doublet lattice method to study the unsteady longitudinal aerodynamic stability of a subsonic aircraft. Unsteady behaviour of the aircraft is analyzed also theoretically. The developed software DERIV is tested on HA21A (canard wing) for steady flows, and on HA75H (typical transport plane wing) for unsteady flow. Comparison of the obtained results with the existing NASTRAN results for the same problem is satisfactory, so that the proposed procedure can be accepted as valid one.
