Sugimura, Tadayoshi; Kanno, Masahiro Numerical analysis of supersonic flows around a blunt body. (Japanese. English summary) Zbl 0831.76060 Rep. Fac. Sci. Technol., Meijo Univ. 35, 37-46 (1995). Summary: Two-dimensional supersonic flows around a blunt body are numerically solved by using Euler equations in general coordinates. The utilized shock-capturing technique is the MacCormack-TVD method with second-order accuracy. The numerical results obtained are in good agreement with other finite difference results and results by FEM. This study analyzes supersonic flows with chemical reactions and contributes to analysis of a supersonic combustion ram jet engine and ram accelerator.
