Summary: A glimpse backwards at the twenty plus years since I met and began to collaborate with Dima Arov. Some highlights of the research that began ever so briefly with prediction for multivariate stationary processes, quickly evolved into the study of direct and inverse spectral problems for canonical integral and differential systems and Dirac-Krein systems, and a number of bitangential interpolation and extension problems and circled back to prediction a couple of years ago will be presented.
