FastQC swMATH ID: 16946 Software Authors: Simon Andrews Description: FastQC: A quality control tool for high throughput sequence data. FastQC aims to provide a simple way to do some quality control checks on raw sequence data coming from high throughput sequencing pipelines. It provides a modular set of analyses which you can use to give a quick impression of whether your data has any problems of which you should be aware before doing any further analysis. The main functions of FastQC are: Import of data from BAM, SAM or FastQ files (any variant); Providing a quick overview to tell you in which areas there may be problems; Summary graphs and tables to quickly assess your data; Export of results to an HTML based permanent report; Offline operation to allow automated generation of reports without running the interactive application Homepage: http://www.bioinformatics.babraham.ac.uk/projects/fastqc/ Related Software: R; TopHat; Trimmomatic; Bioconductor; STAR; KEGG; GATK; edgeR; Samtools; BEDTools; knitr; shiny; ggplot2; Rsamtools; ShortRead; HTSeq; Rqc; Bowtie 2; Bismark; Gviz Cited in: 7 Publications all top 5 Cited by 16 Authors 1 Akalin, Altuna 1 Barturen, Guillermo 1 Brockwell, Peter J. 1 Davis, Richard A. 1 Davis, Sean L. 1 Franke, Verdan 1 Hackenberg, Michael 1 Jäger, Marten 1 Mathé, Ewy 1 Oliver, José L. 1 Picardi, Ernesto 1 Piro, Rosario Michael 1 Robinson, Peter N. 1 Ronen, Jonathan 1 Shomroni, Orr 1 Uyar, Bora Cited in 4 Serials 2 Methods in Molecular Biology 1 Springer Texts in Statistics 1 Chapman & Hall/CRC Mathematical and Computational Biology Series 1 Chapman & Hall/CRC Computational Biology Series Cited in 4 Fields 6 Biology and other natural sciences (92-XX) 3 Statistics (62-XX) 1 General and overarching topics; collections (00-XX) 1 Probability theory and stochastic processes (60-XX) Citations by Year
