PASTIS3D – A parallel finite element projection code for the timedependent incompressible NavierStokes equations
PASTIS3D (Projection Algorithm Solver for Timedependent Incompressible flow Simulations in 3 Dimensions) is a computer program for the solution of the incompressible timedependent NavierStokes equations. It uses the implicit projection2 algorithm, which is second order accurate for the velocities. It works with a data parallel variant of the conjugate gradient method and runs efficiently on parallel systems such as workstation clusters and the IBM scalable POWER parallel systems (9076 SPx). The parallel data structure is familiar from domain decomposition. But, we use a parallel implementation of a sequential algorithm and hence obtain the desired sequential results.
