NATS swMATH ID: 4297 Software Authors: Tabarrok, B.; Qin, Z. Description: An integrated finite element procedure for computer modelling of tension structures. We present an integrated finite element procedure for computer-aided design and analysis of tension structures. Three distinct phases in the design of tension structures, namely, form finding, stress analysis and cutting pattern generation, are addressed, and numerical approaches to each phase are outlined. Some numerical examples illustrate the applications of a newly developed finite element program package NATS (Nonlinear Analysis of Tension Structures).
