Description: CAVEAT: A computer code for fluid dynamics problems with large distortion and internal slip. This report describes the CAVEAT computer code, which numerically solves the equations of transient, multimaterial, compressible fluid dynamics. General material equations of state are allowed by the use of the SESAME library. Of particular interest is the general capability to handle material interfaces, including slip, cavitation, or void closure. Also included is the capability to treat material strength and plasticity, high explosive (HE) detonations, and a k-epsilon model of turbulence.
