Summary: Piecewise Lagrange and polynomials and polynomial splines are used in practical cases when it is necessary to find an analytical solution approximating a set of knots obtained from experimental data. They are also used in and integration and for the solution of differential equations. The study of numerical methods using piecewise polynomials and polynomial splines must be directed to the effective use of computers. The present paper describes a way to study these polynomials which gives expressions, depending on a parameter, that are very useful for calculations.
