Mironova, E. M.; Loseva, N. N. A new solution of the motion equations for a rigid body in the magnetic field. (Russian) Zbl 1119.70305 Tr. Inst. Prikl. Mat. Mekh. 7, 151-155 (2002). The problem of motion of a rigid body having a fixed point is considered in the magnetic field with regard for the Barnett-London effect. A particular solution, defined by three invariant relations of the motion equations, is obtained in the paper. Such a solution is characterized by the property that the components of the angular momentum nLab Wikipedia vector are polynomials of the second degree with respect to coordinates of the vertical unit vector nLab Wikipedia Wolfram MathWorld in the moving frame.
